Reverend Bryant Lampkin
Bryant Lampkin was born in Chicago, IL to Mr. And Mrs. Orville Lampkin, Jr. He is the oldest of his siblings. Bryant went to St. Ambrose Elementary School and graduated in May, 1980. He then went on to Percy L. Julian High School where he played most all sports including basketball, football and baseball. He was even in the chorus. He later attended Olivet Nazarene University.
In his youth, Bryant followed in his Grandfather' and Fathers's footsteps and works as a stationary engineer. Over the course of his career he worked for Lake Terrace Condominium, Habitat Corporation, US Dwelling and Chicago Housing Authority. He is currently working for the YMCA of Metropolitan of Chicago in Harvey, IL where he serves as the Building Manager.
His love for music led him to pursue the choir where he attended church regularly. He joined New Progressive M. B. Church and became an active member in numerous auxiliaries. Bryant was choir director for the Young Adult Choir for most of his teenage years. After becoming of age, he moved on to the Adult Choir where he sang for many years. While serving as a choir member he was called to serve on the deacon board. From there, Bryant accepted his calling into the ministry, was licensed, ordained and is now actively preaching God's Word!
Bryant took an interest in studying God's Word inductively. This interest led him to Precept Ministries founded by Kay Arthur and located in Chattanooga, TN, where he pursued a certificate in Inductive Bible Study Leadership. This certificate qualifies him to lead Bible Studies Inductively.
Rev. Lampkin is also a family man. When he was 13 years old, he pursued a relationship with his friend, Angela, whom he later married. They have three children, Bryant Anthony, Brandon Alphonso and Bree Austrial. They also have a grandson, Bryant Anthony Lampkin III.
